Fabienne Walker-Monod Born on 29/11/1964 Translator |
1998
My Thesis in Anthropology is pre-approved. Problem is, a year of on-site experience is required in order to obtain my Ph.D. and I'm still on a wheelchair. I drop everything and play housewife for a while. That could not last. I get into Website design and marketing.
1978 - 1980
First trip to the USA. I learn more English in this 2 1/2 month trip than 3 years of high-school English have taught me. Fabulous trip with a Greyhound bus-pass for 50 bucks that took sis and I from New York to L.A. Then came the time to go back to France... Absolute terror! I already know that "home" will never be France. I survived, quit school as I was learning nothing in there, then set my own rigorous study plan. 6 hours of piano practice per day, geography, history, mathematics, French, English and so on, self-taught while working for my dad evenings and nights. I had a full planning allowing only 4 hours of sleep per night. I DID stick to it for over 2 years. A VERY determined teenager starving for knowledge.

16 December 2007
Surprising birthday at home…34 years, but one more day. Biobble has new shareholders, its new site is coming soon :) "What a beau cadeau", as a friend of mine would say. I love my wife.
Well, joking apart, it`s very pleasant that investors have supported my project, which I have carried under my arm since three years ago. I love my wife.
1998
I leave for New-York City to get together with my girlfriend. To earn my living, I work in a Greenwich Village restaurant during the daytime while managing the Gold Bar at night. The little bit of spare time I have is shared with my pals Seb, Valentine, Sophie and Bertrand, when I'm not painting or writing a novel.
I set up my very first photo painting exhibition and during the inauguration each of the paintings is sold.
I come back to Paris in December.

Amy Agius Born on 22/6/1975 Print Project Manager |
1 January 2006 - 18 January 2007
I'm back! Finally I've gotten access to this diary. This has been quite a year. I saw my brother Tony for the first time in 4 years. He was married, to a lovely lady named Christy, and they just bought their first home. (Someone's doing things the right way; and it's certainly not me.)
I, on the other hand, have taken a few more years to get myself together. I met a sweet, wonderful man. (After all the bad ones I went through) We've done a LOT of traveling as well. To Costa Rica, SanFrancisco, New York, Paris, Mazamet, Toulouse, and Barcelona. And back to Val D'Isere this March.
So there's the present. I'll be back to tell the past!
19 December 2005
Today I'l begin writing my bio. I've thought about it so many times, but now that I have the chance... I don't know what to say. This will require some time.

David Bowie Born on 8/1/1947 Singer |
1984
The follow-up album "Tonight" is also dance-related, featuring collaborations with Tina Turner and a cover of The Beach Boys' song "God Only Knows". HOwever, critics label it a lazy effort, with Bowie simply wanting to recapture previous success. Despite this, the album bears the transatlantic Top Ten hit "Blue Jean" whose video, directed by Julien Temple, wins Bowie a Grammy, for Best Short-Form Music Video.
1974
Another ambitious album, "Diamond Dogs" is released. It is the product of two ideas: a musical based on a futuristic post-apocalyptic city, and setting George Orwell's 1984 to music.
The album demonstrates Bowie headed towards soul/disco music, the track "1984" being a prime example. The album includes the hits "Rebel Rebel" (UK no 5) and "Diamond Dogs" (UK no 21), and itself goes to no 1 in the UK, making him the best-selling act of that country for the second year in a row. In the US, Bowie achieves his first major commercial hit when the album goes to no 5.

1975
Jerry starts one of many side projects, 'The Jerry Garcia Band' which helps to create what later becomes known as Jam Band music.
Other groups which Garcia joins during this period include the 'Black Mountain Boys', 'Legion of Mary', 'Reconstruction', and the 'Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band'.
Throughout the seventies he contributes to over fifty studio albums by artists including Bob Dylan, Jefferson Airplane and Tom Fogerty. He works for motown and plays in a regular basis with Bob Dylan.

Maureen Quinlan Born on 23/8/1973 Writer - English teacher |
May 1998
My big break. At the age of 24, I was hired as a copywriter at the Tribune. It was one of those dream jobs you think you'll never get and then they hire you. I was able to use my interest in politics and love of writers in my daily life. I developed a strange ability to remember details, a talent that strengthened my writing. The job was invigorating and I was always full of new ideas. I worked here for nearly eight years and met all kinds of interesting people. A lot of my career and life mentors came from Tribune. It was an important time in life.
August 1991
I started university. I went to the same university my mother attended, but transfered after the first year. It was everything I thought a school should be. Red brick buildings, gorgeous sprawling lawns and a good reputation. But alas, a small school in an even smaller town was not for me. They also did not have a good program for my major, a fact I slightly over-looked when I chose the school. oops.
